This happened to my sister she was denied her freedom for 10 years in these places.
She lived in a facility 50 miles away. My mum and I fought hard for her to get out of there, but it took years. In 11 years I’ve been hospitalized 6 times, last time when I was 16 and I stayed inpatient for 1 and a half years.
