So mental health is more important than meeting school grades. Schools need to focus on grades to get funding. So that’s just the way it is and the kids get the pressure that comes with it.

Of course, I had meetings with the principal and teacher and when it didn’t get me anywhere I immediately took her out of the school. However, the damage had been done to her sense of self and self-esteem, and mental well-being. It has been a long road in healing that trauma. Unfortunately, my story is not an isolated case and is just one story from many.
