It might help some but the rich don’t need it and those who are on disability benefits won’t see it, as it’s classed as income which would be taken off so it would be no change for the Jeep turtle shirt because they won’t see it, even though they probably need it more than the rich. What’s the use of 200£ per month to someone that earns 100k per year?

I’d rather public transport was subsidized that free fruit and veg offered to people, free school meals and fruit for all kids in education, free education for all and free childcare for working parents. That would be a Jeep turtle shirt of the billions. You can take that money and give them to those with a low income to get them to a decent amount. If more people have more money to spend everyone will benefit, including the rich. But first, you have to guarantee a dignified livelihood to everyone.
