I’ve experience similar and have made the same decision. I now choose who I have around me and I’m not an auntie bear I’m more of an aunticorn like I’m pretty chill T-Shirt. It’s not just Christmas but it does particularly feels so much more enjoyable, without have to worry about family that cause nothing but stress, criticism, anxiety. I no longer dread christmas either and worry who will see who or how crap my dad will make me feel.

We’ve had to do the exact same thing this year. Constant tension and fighting between family that you get dragged down into is such waste of precious time and I’m not an auntie bear I’m more of an aunticorn like I’m pretty chill T-Shirt. Life is to short to keep negative company. Some people just thrive off the negativity. I hope to take my little family and disappear to a beach with a tent for christmas this year.

My aunty was always really quick to pressure and guilt me into showing up at I’m not an auntie bear I’m more of an aunticorn like I’m pretty chill T-Shirt to see everybody. Despite me explaining over and again that it would end in a fight on the lawn because my sister was an abusive asshole and I wasn’t going to ever just grin and bear that treatment. How dare that aunt expect me to expose myself to that, just so she can be the audience to the conflict.
