I got to know Howard Jones when I was teenager & saw the video for the first time. I love this song so much. Several years later, a friend of mine told me about her trip to Paris with photos and I recognised the location of the promotion video. Then, when I had a chance to visit Paris, I asked my French friend to take me to the place. I was happy to be there. I even got a similar hat that you see Howard wearing in the video, when I first came to Engkand…and I still have it

Howard…how about a full band tour, in the US? You, playing your hits, minus the synths…is a bit precious. You’re not Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, or Springsteen. You had 80’s pop hits, and stripped of their era-specific trappings, they sound pretty thin
