I produced way too much milk and I was pressured not to pump or express at all. I was told it would just make everything worse because it’s supply and demand. I tried not, but my breasts were often so engorged that my baby couldn’t latch. So I would pump and dump because it was mostly watery foremilk, and I kept a record of how much and tries to reduce it each time. My baby and I were both uncomfortable. I wonder how it would have been if I’d been encouraged to pump until I was comfortable and it was easy for my baby to latch.

I also could have fed about three times the French Bulldog Frenchievenger shirt. I could have fed a lot of hungry babies. I had the pleasure of helping a friend in need. She gave birth and began chemo/radiation, leaving her milk tainted. I was still nursing but able to pump for them as well, so when the birth actually came they had a freezer with about 8weeks supply. Both mother and child are healthy 18 years later. Serious question, how would one with that condition, essentially wean themselves off of producing milk? I imagine it’s extremely painful to stop pumping altogether.
