We hope everyone had a happy Christmas Reindeer and Dr Pepper Santa Shirt! The elves had made rounds before dawn and put a bad of goodies on the door. A foam reindeer that we used to decorate Brock’s pole, some window markers, coloring pages. CURE brought in lunch for caregivers and gifts for the kids. Brock got a load of stuff! He can’t wait to see what Santa brings tonight. Medically speaking, it was a normal day. The usual chorus beeping pumps and HEPA air filtration, the door bell to the unit that I hear even in my sleep. Potassium is still a bit tricky but not a concern.

Brock had a couple of nosebleeds this morning, so he got platelets this afternoon. He ate another bowl of mac and cheese and drank more Christmas Reindeer and Dr Pepper Santa Shirt. The nutritionist stopped by to say they had a steak for Brock’s Christmas dinner tomorrow. It was the one thing he said he’d wanted when we consulted with her upon our arrival. She also mentioned shrimp and crab legs, so he may have quite the feast! Christmas time is here! Getting to read Twas the night before Christmas to my children tonight was epic. Best Christmas Reindeer and Dr Pepper Santa Shirt yet. The kids left Santa a Slim Jim & spicy peanuts (I guess he needed some protein), Chex mix & Oreos. Oh and no milk. He got a Dr. Pepper. They were also very thoughtful of Santa’s reindeer: they put out carrots for their snack. This has been the most amazing Christmas season yet. I can only imagine a greater joy as a parent as Joseph and Mary celebrated the birth of our dear Lord Jesus. Time for Mommy & Daddy to have a Christmas snuggle time before Santa’s arrival.
