The Ballet shark Ten Du Du Du Du Du Youth shirt. I don’t know if its a taught thing, or if its the nature of the dance itself. There’s always something wistful and almost melancholy about the expressions, but a great love in the eyes. I love ballet and did it for eighteen years. Pointe looks beautiful but is bloody hard work sometimes literally. Neither cancels out the other. I think she is an inspiration for still having the fitness and muscle strength to dance en pointe. Do not call me ignorant. Going up en pointe puts a lot of strain and injury on the legs. Just fantastic that she has evidently fought through all the pain, and possibly people telling her she is ‘too old’ for ballet since most big ballet schools make their older ballerinas retire around 30.

Times are changing though and no so much the Ballet shark Ten Du Du Du Du Du Youth shirt. Misty Copeland is 35 and in her prime right now. So it is becoming more acceptable. I really appreciate that she is so amazing but makes a point to say it didn’t happen overnight! She wasn’t all the right things but she made it happen because she wanted it! She worked for it! I love that she credited her teachers! I worked with her for a little while and she is so sweet and so driven. I remember she continued to give lessons despite her arm being in a cast.
