He even sported the hat on a paddleboard, wearing none other a T-shirt with a photo of himself wearing a cowboy hat. How meta is that?
Of course, it’s Lil Nas X who initially set off the cowboy hat trend with his country-inspired, chart-storming hit “Old Town Road.” The upstart rapper’s cowboy hats, which come in ranging incarnations of cow print and fire truck red, are practically attached to his head. Not to mention, at a VMAs afterparty only two days ago, Miley Cyrus and her father Billy Ray Cyrus were snapped by Diplo himself singing “Old Town Road” while toting matching tan cowboy hats. In other words: Summer’s not over yet, so grab a cowboy hat, giddy up, and ‘gram away.
