Being a nurse myself, I probably would have done the same thing as this nurse. It’s just our nature to protect the ones in our care. It used to be if a crime in the hospital was going to happen, it would be in the ER. Not anymore. It could take place anywhere in the hospital!! When will hospitals/centers start realizing things have changed and start protecting their employees. My hospital had a guys with Unicorn I’m A Good Nurse I Just Cuss A Lot Shirt recently try to rob a nurse for drugs. Another hospital I worked at I got held up with a gun. I’ve been assaulted many times as a nurse. We do not feel safe anymore but you won’t see that in the news. You’ll only read about these tragedies after they cause a lose of life. We don’t even have real security.

The nursing groups have been both doing studies to show how dangerous nursing is.
