Now I’m all for constructive feedback as I’m keen to improve my advice, my programs, and my services Thompson, Curry and Green End Of An Era Golden State Warriors Signatures Shirt. But the minute you give irrelevant advice (come on, commenting on what she perceived as my weight issue is completely irrelevant to the quality of my style advice), and destructive feedback to someone, well what happens? Our brains shut down immediately. It’s toxic and should be treated that way. I try and maintain a growth mindset, and it’s why I’m always reading, learning, and trying to improve what I do and know. And this morning as I was walking my lovely whippets around the park, I was listening to an audiobook all about improving how you think (it’s called Elite Minds by Dr Stan Beecham) where he was talking about the research around getting people to do better. What was interesting was that when you ask people to write down the best advice they’ve ever gotten, the kind of advice that has made the biggest impact on them. Well, it turns out, it was positive rather than negative advice. Negative advice tends to make us turn off, turn away or just give up because it makes us feel not good enough. In fact, what was fascinating was the research around telling people to “do better” compared to “do your best”. Did you know that “do better” is perceived as negative feedback whilst “do your best” is positive and much more motivating. This is because you can always “do better” and can make you feel like you’re never improving. Well, I’m always trying to help all my program members and clients (and anyone who takes the time and effort to read this blog) improve their style, in a way that is relevant and right for them. And I know language and word choices have a big impact, yet I’d never heard about the “better vs best” research before and it’s opened my eyes to thinking about these words and their impact in a new way. I may have used “what would be better” before and now want to rethink how I phrase my advice.

Long Taoran, Thompson, Curry and Green End Of An Era Golden State Warriors Signatures Shirt an art collector, traveled from Beijing to attend Frieze. While she scouts art from around the world for collection, her visit to the fair marks her first time in L.A. The collector leaned on laid-back staples—New Balance sneakers, Margiela side-slit jeans, and a blazer and bag from Lemaire. “You need to be comfortable to walk around the whole day,” says Long. “I love really unique things.” On the other side of the trending coin, art people just like to dress for themselves, regardless of what’s “in.” Case in point, Claude d’Avoine, creative director and Frieze London head of design. For a day of browsing through exhibits with fashion publicist Bradley Jacobs, d’Avoine wore custom-made floral pants from a local designer with vintage accessories. A more surprising observation of the day: Artsy people love cowboy hats. One of the most marvelous hats we encountered belonged to visual artist Arielle Pytka. In custom-made python pants and stacks of statement silver rings (pieces she’s accumulated over the years), Pytka’s outfit stood out among the sea of The Row separates and Gucci loafers. “I ride horses a lot, and my dad lived in Santa Fe for many years, so I was exposed to a lot of Western culture,” she says. Along with a Rick Owens sweater and a big-buckle belt gifted by a friend, the artist completed her outfit with special cowboy boots from Pskaufman. “He’s a local designer in L.A., and he hand-makes all of his boots. They’re incredible,” she adds.

Good outside work T-shirt
Bought these for working in my yard. They are just the right size (XL) and length. On me, the hem is down to the bottom of the front pocket openings on my jeans and the fit is slightly loose, not figure hugging.
I’m not sure what the definition of “heavy” is supposed to be. These seem to feel slightly thicker than the Hanes or Fruit of the Loom multi-pack white T-shirts you can buy at your local supermarket, but you can still easily see through them when held up to a sunny window, for example.
I waited to do this review until one shirt was washed to record the amount of shrinkage and see how the texture changed. New, they are almost silky in feel. Very nice. Once washed, they lose that and become slightly rougher, like any other T-shirt. After one wash, as shown by the photo of washed over top of new, they have lost maybe 1″-1.5″ on length, but the width change was minimal and the fit is still a loose XL. The color faded slightly also.
It’s a T-shirt and it’ll meet my intended use, but I wouldn’t say they were “special”
