Try on clothes to see if they still fit and flatter your current body shape and colouring The Capitol Groove June 29-30 2024 Bushnell Park in Hartford CT Poster Shirt. You may be like me whose colouring has changed as my hair colour has changed from dark brunette, via light blonde and now to silver sister. The colours I wear have also changed as I’ve had to lighten up my wardrobe and it’s softening down in intensity too. All that black that once looked great is no longer worn and was just cluttering my wardrobe. If you’ve had a major shift in hair colour it’s a great time before you declutter to get your colours reanalysed as the palette that once worked for you may not be so great anymore. Knowing your palette of colours helps you declutter your wardrobe as it makes decision making that much easier. If the colour isn’t flattering the garment isn’t going to make you look great. You can choose to overdye favourite items that pass every other test, and let go of the rest!. Trying on is such an important part of editing and decluttering your wardrobe, as clothes that once fit well may now not as weight gets redistributed (I’m looking at you menopause). I’ve noticed that women don’t wear what’s not comfortable, so if you’re not feeling good in the clothing then there’s no point in holding onto it (no matter how expensive it was when you bought it, or how great it used to look on you). Figuring out your current silhouette and shape helps you to only keep the styles that make you look great. You can take my free body shape calculator quiz here (or if you’d like my professional opinion on your shape and colouring, that’s all inside my 7 Steps to Style program). Whether you can hold an item and feel that it Sparks Joy (Marie Kondo method of decluttering) or you’re a little more pragmatic and want to rate it out of 10 (letting anything under an 8 go, unless you’re going to make the alteration that will raise it to at least an 8), Whichever method works for you is equally worthy. What it comes down to is this, if you’re not excited and in love with your clothes, you won’t feel great when you wear them. You want to have clothes in your closet that you love, that make you feel fabulous and stylish rather than just ho-hum or kind of bland or boring (and of course anything that is in the slightest bit frumpy definitely has to leave the building!). Make sure that you use your current Style Recipe as a guide when going through this process.

It’s no secret that California is home to some of the best surf in the world, and by extension, some of the coolest surf brands. The Capitol Groove June 29-30 2024 Bushnell Park in Hartford CT Poster Shirt OG surf-cum-streetwear label Stussy was born on the state’s coastline, and several decades later and a bit further north, Noon Goons is now putting its own surfing-centric spin on streetwear. The LA-based brand fuses high-fashion, streetwear and surf culture to marvellous effect, creating a range of stylish, slouchy garments that are heavy on the beachy vibes. Think hoodies, graphic tees, oversized flannels and loose-fitting pants with some higher-end pieces sprinkled in, too. For all the hate it gets from the fashion crowd, there’s no denying that Amiri is one of the biggest names in the game when it comes to that rock ‘n’ roll-infused, deliberately dishevelled aesthetic for which LA has become famous. If there is an LA ‘look’, Amiri is one of the key brands behind it. The company’s founder, Mike Amiri, began his career designing stage outfits for legendary rock stars like Axl Rose and Steven Tyler before branching out and starting his namesake label, now in its tenth year. Expect to find streetwear-inspired pieces like logo hoodies and graphic tees alongside heavily distressed denim and luxe leather sneakers. Another label that was central to the longline, layered look that became synonymous with LA style is John Elliott. Founded in 2012, the brand’s eponymous founder drew inspiration from basketball and skate culture, creating a range of menswear that played with silhouettes, proportion and the concept of luxury in sportswear. His clothes played a part in the mainstream adoption of athleisure, turning things like joggers, sweatshirts and hoodies into desirable luxury items rather than straight-up athleticwear. Brain Dead isn’t a clothing brand in the traditional sense of the term. Instead, it describes itself as a worldwide collective of artists and designers that just so happen to make awesome clothes too. There’s a definite streetwear influence, with additional inspiration coming from underground comics, post-punk imagery and more, with heavily graphic-led designs printed on casualwear staples like hoodies, tees and various accessories.

Great shirt, great fit! Is more of an orangey gold in color. Definitely not the yellow shown.
I will never reveal the Wu-Tang secret.

Very nice t-shirts
The kingteeshops mens heavy t-shirts are perfect. They washed up really nice, no shrinkage of color fade. My husband is very pleased. Thank you.

good for the price
These shirts are nice. They are lighter than the hanes heavy cotton shirts. They feel good and fit as expected. They are really comfortable and cooler than most of my shirts.
