And more away from negative influences. It’s a fine balance. I have a friend who is a long term depressed chap. So he verbally attacked me and other friends. Being a negative influence at times I completely shut down our relationship, but later on, I rekindled it. I think the answer is how much we can handle and what capacity we have. If I am borderline happy, I don’t want his negative influence in my life as we both drown together.

But at other times when I’m super happy, it’s infectious Stitch with Iron Man Avengers with Lilo and Stitch Disney combo tshirt which helps him too. Now my resolve it to always be there if he desperately needs me. But I carefully manage my time with him, I refuse to hang out if he wants to get drunk. So he gets deeply emotional and acts odd or creepy in public and says really awkward things out loud. But he points people out as fat thinking it’s funny and I literarily die inside. But he won’t listen to me advise or grow and change. He has seen all sorts of therapists and counselors throughout the years and had masses of support and encouragement but does not change that much. Like you say we are all humans, so anyone with true spirit can genuinely change another’s life. I’m a good friend but not a therapist or life coach or counselor.
