The first sloth they rescued was named Budda and they made a mistake and let him because of a pet. He can never go back to the wild. BUT, visitors get to hold him and he loves it. So they learned from their mistake, and treat all new sloths so they can go back. They have different penned in areas where they move matched pairs as they progress towards Independence. Anyone that doubts why you have them is not reading the story thank you for rescuing them they would have died.

Sloth Slow down shirt to be rescued it’s not their fault they got in that position its life and thank goodness there are people who are out there to save them. We visited this Centre, they do a tremendous job rescuing various animals and doing their utmost to rehabilitate them, dedicated volunteers and conservationists. They would have died if they had not been rescued. They will be released back into the wild when they see old enough to care for themselves. Thank you for saving them. The Costa Rica animal rescue center needs volunteers right now! You spend the day feeding, watering and cleaning up after sloths and all sorts of animals.
