I pray she conquers her dream. My tailor had recreated pencil skirt from my Dad’s trousers and I used to wear it when I was in my teens. This video reminded me of that! Does she want to help schools in 3rd world countries? What about helping our children who might be orphans here? Sigh.

My Mother & my Aunts were brilliant seamstresses & Sloth I didn’t give you the gift of life life gave me the gift of you shirt & they could do it just as we imagined. Just saw a lot of models on Paris sidewalks wearing clothes from Fashion Week & they were gimmicky, tacky, silly, wasted fabric & look downright foolish! Your clothes are wearable, happy, intelligent & fun! I used to refashion my clothes as a teen. I wore the same size of jeans from middle school through high school until I got pregnant.

My mother used to buy me a new couple sets of clothes at the beginning of the year even though I still fit into last school years clothes. I started cutting my old jeans with holes in the knees (can’t wear jeans with holes to school) into shorts. I’d cut them two inches longer than fingertip length and then fold up the ends so my shorts were a perfectly fingertipped length. I wasn’t allowed to have frayed ends on my clothes and shorts had to be fingertip length so these shorts I made from my jeans were perfect for school.
