Rocket Racoon Life is better with a Groot shirt
I graduated from a traditional program in the eighties. There were no jobs at the time, so I went into the Rocket Racoon Life is better with a Groot shirt. After 18 years, I got a buy-out from a new CEO who wanted to bring his own team in. Decided to go back to my original desire and got a teaching job. Got my masters in my early 50’s! I so admired my classmates who managed to pursue their degree raising young children.

Best Rocket Racoon Life is better with a Groot shirt
Try working on an ABA certificate and trying to plan hours over the Rocket Racoon Life is better with a Groot shirt. I’m a glutton for punishment. I managed to get my masters while teaching full time and coaching skiing. I took it one class at a time and it was totally doable. This comes down to parents (at least parents of high schoolers) and teachers not being on the same page. Parents don’t care about their kid’s screen time after middle school so they’re not still actively teaching them how to disengage.
Then as teachers, we are forced on an uphill battle trying to get them engaged with the material and realize that little notification does not need an immediate answer and the conversation on docs can wait until later. I’m only one person and they’re sneaky. I’m generally pretty good at catching them but I can’t be hovering over all of my 22-30 students every minute of every class. At what point do we say “self regulate or face the consequences”? I’m a teacher responsible for teaching. They’re students responsible for their own individual learning and education. I can’t make them want to engage no matter how “cool” or “fun” or “entertaining” a lesson may be.
