I know that I have been writing about how popular Canadian tuxedos and denim sneakers are these days, Please Don’t Kill The Mr.Ghostface I Wanna Be In The Sequel T-shirt but this weekend, things changed. On Sunday morning, I was getting ready for New York Fashion Week, about to throw on my laid-out denim ensemble. And then, I looked out my window, saw it was snowing, and remembered that the fashion show was outside. I most definitely could not wear jeans. If you have ever worn wet denim, you know that it truly is the epitome of discomfort. Thus, it became a day to don my trusty faux-leather pants. As everyone shivered in their seats, I was quite content in my selection of pants, as I was comfortable and appeared put-together (despite my 12-second outfit change). Faux leather is one of the easiest ways to look and feel amazing, whether that be on the bottom or on top. And since it’s not real leather, there isn’t the same terror of slightly unideal weather conditions destroying your favorite pants or jacket. I’m not claiming this is the newest trend to hit the market, but it is one of the easiest to partake in, especially given the sheer abundance of faux leather hanging around these days. So for the time being, start gravitating toward pants that won’t cause inevitable chafing at the drop of rain and try some of these faux-leather pieces.

Chinese designer Xander Zhou chose London Collections: Men as the destination for his first show in the capital. Please Don’t Kill The Mr.Ghostface I Wanna Be In The Sequel T-shirt Surrounded by a wealth of young up and comers, the young creative was among the cream of the crop this year. Demonstrating a fresh and unhampered display of fluent wearable clothing. Entitled Fleurdelism, the collection was inspired by the great outdoors; a theme that acted as a spacial reenactment for the attire to follow. Outerwear was baggy and fine tuned, Mr Zhou encased his muses in a protective armour of overcoats, shielding them from the realms of the outside world. In sharp notes of black and white, the opening eradicated all thoughts of extremism. His freedom of expression was evident after the all white affair, leading to stinging shots of red silk. Some of which was woven together in patterns that were representative of tree barks and cracks in the ground – a humbling dose of reality.

Great quality, but order a size up.
After an inspection of the clothing they appear to be made quite well. There were no openings in the seems, no loose/unraveling threads, no tears, or stains.
Unfortunately, even with measuring myself before ordering, they did not fit. I ordered medium, in accordance to their sizing chart, but it felt much too tight. Almost like it was trying to be a muscle shirt. So, order a size bigger and you should be good there.
Finally, I learned I don’t like “heavy cotton.” A lot of other reviewers said the fabric was soft. To me it was indeed heavy, too heavy, and was more roughly-textured that I expected. Not what I call soft.
I liked the quality of the construction though, and these issues ultimately shouldn’t count against the product itself. Size chart just needs some adjustment, and the fabric issues are just my own preferences.
