Holiday decorating is a fun time to celebrate a special occasion and to create new memories Merriam Webster vintage logo shirt. Yet, amid the merriment, it’s vital to remain mindful of potential decorating mishaps that can pose serious risks to your safety and the well-being of your loved ones. Raf Michalowski, an interior design expert at Meble Furniture, has outlined common holiday decorating mistakes that can unexpectedly lead to dangerous situations. Candles can instantly transform the feeling of any space with their soft, flickering glow. Not only do they immediately add a sense of cosiness and serenity to any holiday setting, but they can also be a nice way to provide an ambient light to your settings. However, they can also be incredibly dangerous if not handled with caution, for instance lighting too many candles and doing so with them placed too closely together. Candle accidents around this time can be attributed to candles placed too close to flammable materials, from furniture to holiday decorations. The expert suggests to keep candles away from any other objects and never leave them unattended. For an even simpler and safer alternative, consider switching to battery-operated candles. The debate over artificial versus real Christmas trees is age-old, but the type of tree you choose is only part of the equation. “If you’re opting for a live tree, it’s essential to check the freshness of your tree before taking it home. Any tree that starts to rain a hail of needles when you move it could be a sign of dryness, which makes it susceptible to fire hazards. Before placing your live tree, put it in a stand with water and cut a couple of inches from the trunk for better water absorption. Artificial trees should be fire-resistant for added safety,” says the expert. Extension cords are commonly used during the holidays to reach outlets for decorations, trees as well as all the technology running throughout the festive season. However, overloading extension cords with multiple devices can lead to overheating and potential electrical fires. It’s best to be mindful of the number of devices connected to a single extension cord and avoid daisy-chaining them together. The expert suggests opting for extendable cords that can go the length of your room or more if need be. When finding the perfect place for your Christmas tree, anything near radiators, vents, heaters, or fireplaces can accelerate its drying process, posing a significant fire risk. “If you’re short for space, it’s recommended to position your tree at least three feet away from any heat source to ensure its longevity and safety,” the expert recommends. For pet owners and parents of young children, the choice of holiday plants is crucial. Some seasonal favourites such as amaryllis, mistletoe, balsam, pine, cedar and poinsettias, can be harmful to pets. It’s best recommended to keep holiday flowers and greenery away, or use artificial plants instead. “Glass ornaments may shatter and cause injuries, while ribbon, strings and tinsel used for wrapping presents and decorating the tree can potentially become choking hazards. If you have babies, young toddlers, or pets prone to investigation, it might be best to avoid using tinsel and glass ornaments on the tree or keep them out of reach,” says the expert.

When it comes to comfy everyday sneakers that look as good as they feel on foot, Merriam Webster vintage logo shirt no brand does it better than New Balance. With iconic models like the 990, the 574 and the 550, the Bostonian footwear brand is one of the few labels that’s held in equally high regard by pensioners and fashion-savvy youngsters alike. The key to New Balance’s success is its knack for blending style and comfort. The brand’s lifestyle sneakers are known for their support and cloud-like cushioning, but they’re also famous for their design and aesthetics. This is perpetuated by an ever-present stream of high-profile collabs that help to fuel the hype and keep NB at the top of the game. Sneakers were still very much considered sportswear when the Common Projects Achilles Low first launched back in 2009. They were worn casually, but they were nowhere near as widely accepted in society as they are today. Back then, most clubs and bars would deny entry to anyone wearing a pair of white leather tennis shoes, but the NYC label changed all of that when it decided to reinvent sneakers using design elements borrowed from dress shoes. The Achilles Low was the first sneaker made with premium materials and traditional hand-stitched construction. It was a game changer, taking sneakers from strictly sportswear to something that could legitimately be worn with tailoring or tracksuit bottoms. Countless brands have attempted to cash in on the winning formula since, but Common Projects will always be the original and best. Scottish brand Inverallan has been making some of the most robust knitwear in the game since the 1970s. Its chunky fisherman sweaters are the stuff of legend, and while some are produced in bulk for retailers, many of the garments sold directly by the brand are one of a kind. Each Inverallan sweater takes approximately 70 hours to hand knit, and the quality is far beyond most other labels. We think they make excellent buy-it-for-life propositions, thanks to their heft, durability, and the fact that they’re unlikely to fall out of fashion in our lifetimes. American eyewear brand Oliver Peoples has long had a reputation as the leading name in luxury specs and sunglasses. It is responsible for many iconic frame designs that have been imitated again and again by lesser labels. Unfortunately, Oliver Peoples was acquired by eyewear conglomerate Luxottica a while back, which some claim led to a decline in quality, but regardless of whether that’s true or not, the name still carries a lot of weight and the key styles that brought the brand to prominence remain staples within the range. The fleece jacket is a comfy casual staple that every man should own. It’s great as a mid-layer in freezing weather, perfect as an outer layer for keeping cosy in the cold and thanks to the ongoing gorpcore trend, it’s finally managed to shake off its undeserved uncool reputation. If you’ve spent any time searching for the perfect fleece to add to your wardrobe, chances are you’ve come across Patagonia’s. The Californian outdoor brand’s Synchilla and Retro-X fleeces have been around under various guises for decades, and they’re still two of the most iconic fleece designs out there today.

These shirts are nice. They are lighter than the hanes heavy cotton shirts. They feel good and fit as expected. They are really comfortable and cooler than most of my shirts.
