Your employer hires part time; retirees,unemployed,etc, people that need Malt Whiskey Christmas shirt to do and have some pocket money. Remember, not every employee wants the same day off. So, it could turn into full time jobs for those partimers too ! Just look at all the retirees and volunteer people that work at food banks, thrift stores, the Salvation Army, etc. I feel like if people had off more than just the weekends. There’s so much to fit in with sports/parties. They would be able to shop at reasonable hours helping out retail. People are too busy! So awesome! I’d love to have a business where I can provide the same pay for 5 days but have employees work 4 day only.

Been working a 4 day  work week for a few years now. I could never go back to 5 days. It’s allowed me time to pursue other passions. Example I now work friday and Saturday at a Malt Whiskey Christmas shirt shop to pay for my bicycle habit. No money from the fam, and parts for my passion. I highly encourage the 4 day work week. Btw we don’t work 32 and get paid for 40. We work for 10 hour days. I asked to do this. I worked hard to squeeze that 5 days into for days. It was beneficial to both of us. Productivity and outcomes aren’t measured in days. It’s win -win.

I conducted a discussion sort of debate over this concern in my class and the results turned out to be positive for 4 days working with one hour increase in the work hours rather 5 days with less efficiency. Unfortunately in alot of similar situations if you work less hours some how you are categorized as less valueable. No matter the difference in productivity. The full time workers seem to resent needing the Malt Whiskey Christmas shirt and alot of the time consistantly reflects in quality of performance.
