It’s impossible to deny the influence of the street style scene in Paris, Hong Kong, and Copenhagen, but New York City’s fashion set has always been at the forefront of trends. Just look at the receipts: the championing of the Bushwick Birkin before it was a global phenomenon or the plethora of emerging fashion brands that call NYC home. Love it or hate it, if a trend can make it in this city, it can make it anywhere. So since we want to know which fall trends are worth adopting, we have to take it to the streets and pick the minds and mood boards of New York’s most fashionable residents. Ahead, 18 stylish women share which NYC fall fashion trends they’re backing and skipping this season. I’m most excited about saturation! It’s about time we brought some color back into our closets, and there are incredible designers that are making bold statements and showcasing the proper way to do it. In terms of what I’ll be skipping, I’ll most likely take a back seat to the “carry it all” trend. If I have an enormous bag, then I’ll try to fit my entire apartment inside of it. I’m looking forward to seeing more crochet bucket hats. Every single one I’ve seen has so much personality, and I’m excited for accessories to make a solid comeback.

If you were to ask me who has been a consistent style muse for me since I started working in fashion Life Isn’t Perfect But My Dog Is Shirt (beyond the Olsen twins, of course), it would be Toteme’s co-founder and creative director, Elin Kling. If I could only wear one brand for the rest of my life, it would be Toteme, and I declared as much some years ago. When it comes to Kling’s personal style, it dawned on me that I still reference just about all of her looks from a decade ago up until today. That’s impressive in my book, to say the least. Below, I take you through some of my favorite ensembles from Kling that date back 10 years or more. How does she do it? It’s all thanks to her continued commitment to elevated basics like tailored black blazers, classic jeans, simple shoes, and other genuinely timeless pieces. Keep scrolling to see seven incredibly chic outfits from Kling’s stylish archive that you can wear now and for many years to come. Seriously, these look like they could have been shot yesterday. Kling poses in a black bell-sleeve top, a simple leather shoulder bag, cropped slim-straight jeans, and neutral pointed-toe heels. I could 100% adopt this as a uniform this season.

These are thick, cotton, smooth, great quality and get a thumbs up from the hubs. kingtees I ordered were quite thin. These are great for the working man!

Good for price. Bargain/novelty use, medium to medium/light weight.
Good for general or novelty use, but these are not heavy-weight like upper-end graphic tees. If you want good and heavy t-shirts for work, these are not it.
For embroidering, these do need more stabilizing than the white heavy-duty t-shirts you can get at a certain warehouse store, but I needed a good choice of colors. The colors are rich and the ones I’ve received have had no blotches and the seams have been solid. But I do check every shirt before I work on it.
These do begin to show wear/age after 5-6 washings, but if you just need smart-looking shirts for events like workshops and birthdays, these will do!

Love the green T! Looks great and fits perfectly!
A good , more heavy duty, T shirt. It’s fit great and the neck especially doesn’t get pulled out looking. It’s comfortable with kind of a stretch to it. You can easily just wear it with jeans and it looks like good quality.
