Omg, yes you need to consult your spouse before bringing home a Jeff Dunham you laugh I laugh you cry I cry you take my Sheep shirt. Doesn’t matter if it’s the husband or wife. Why? Because likely the other person will have to take care of the pet as well and the pet will be living in their house. They’re great. I have a terrier now who would certainly not be able to be trusted with them, but if I couldn’t have a dog I would have piggies. Certainly, I’d choose them before a cat, and they’re about as much work (in different ways).

They’re very communicative, purring and wheeking and, well socialized, have lots of personalities. They are cute and nice pets for children but do need the company of another at least one other guinea pig friend or they are lonely – however, you need to be aware they do squeak loudly all the time if they sense you are around wanting constant feeding which therefor constant cleaning out! For the size of they, they get through loads of greens, apples, carrots etc.
