The Gosh physio team had recommended a referral to wheelchair services to supply a chair for Lucas to use on an ‘as and when’ basis, such as school trips or long days out. We knew this would be good for him and that its introduction would ease him into future full-time usage, but seeing him in it in our lounge was a real tear-jerking, heart-stopping moment. Our hang-up, not his. He loves it, especially with its superhero wheels!

To round off Lucas’ Duchenne year he had his school sports day last month, a day most DMD parents dread. I’m Dreaming Of A Silent Class Christmas Shirt!
