A skilled tailor can adjust lengths, seams, and waistlines, ensuring each piece flatters your form perfectly. If you choose better quality garments made from good quality fabrics, they will last and are worth getting tailored to make them fit perfectly. Before you go shopping, so that you don’t waste more money on clothes, you want to create your own personalised style guidelines first, so that when you do shop you’re doing so with a greater chance of more hits and fewer misses. A tailor can be a fantastic ally when it comes to getting your style dialled in and achieving the perfect fit across your whole wardrobe. Sometimes it might not be worth it to have a garment altered heavily. For example, if you have an Oxford shirt that needs the sleeves taken up, the hem shortened and the body taken in, it could be more cost-effective to just have a shirt made from scratch.
