Years ago a very courageous young lady placed me for adoption. She allowed a couple who desperately wanted a child to become parents. Not for a single moment in my life have I ever thought that I wasn’t loved or wanted. She loved me so much she made that sacrifice for me and for that I will forever be grateful.  He is the single most amazing gift to me and to our family. I can’t imagine our lives without him. I lost my only sister in 2002 suddenly and it nearly killed me. He is my only other sibling and he is my rock. I know his Mom did not want to give him up but she was so young and knew she wouldn’t be able to provide the Hair Stylist Love Sunflower Scissors shirt for him, at the time, that he deserved. As a mother of two young boys, I don’t know how she did it. But, I thank God every day that she had the strength because he is smart, thoughtful, successful, handsome and caring (just like his birth Mom). He is actually getting married this year at his Alma Mater, Norte Dame.

Back then they did not have open adoptions so I have never seen her. I did find her recently, but she has had a good life and is not interested in meeting me or my family. I am so happy that she has had a good life and turned out so well. That was the whole purpose of my giving her up.
