But then, when you see our crime rates in some areas, maybe we do need to follow some countries in some areas. A police state is one in which the police or the government through the police control pretty much everything you do, engage in broad and secret surveillance and so on. One in which there are no controls protecting the people. The state needs to be one which is extremely repressive and controlling.

There was a time in the United States where my grandmother would be thrown in jail for demanding her god given rights.
