Yep I have a broken hip , a broken Rib a broken nose n ankle. This is EXACTLY what happened to me after a military injury. I’ve held onto the hurt from that for 15 years. But you’re right, Jay. Similar happened to me, after a military injury I was retired from active duty…it was a major wake up call…by instinct I assumed my fellow wingmen would support me in the form of writing or calls, it’s all I ever hoped for…much to my sadness and shock only 3 did…..upon a year recovery and appointment to a federal law enforcement agency, (going through a 3rd bootcamp in NM) ….somehow word got around…..and I began getting emails….from my supposed friends as well as other associates…..part of my old self was so happy and relieved to hear from them on the government email….but as I began to type back to them….sadness surrounded me….they really didn’t want to see how I was doing….they wanted to know how the hell I pulled off what I did by getting into a physically demanding career after a supposed permanent injury……I stopped typing and decided my story and good news is not worth sharing with those that have abandoned you
