Redefining your style because of age, weight, medical, lifestyle, Cat I got that dawg in me shirt or location changes is something many of us have to do multiple times over our lives. This question seems specific, but really, there is something you can learn from the process of redefining your signature style whatever the reasons you need to. There is no reason you have to abandon everything when things change in your life, instead you can explore options to incorporate aspects of your previous look while adapting to new circumstances. Let’s look at some ways to do this: When working on your new signature style, it’s crucial to consider your current body shape and size. If you’re not sure what your current body shape is, do my free body shape calculator quiz here (or if you’d like my professional opinion, you can get it as part of my 7 Steps to Style program). If you’re petite you may want to avoid excess fabric and long dresses that might have been part of your old signature style as they swamp you. Instead, look for styles that you love that work with your current body (details for which your best styles are in my free body shape bibles). Always consider your body proportions, if you have short legs, knee-length dresses can be more flattering than longer ones. Proportions tell you where to end hems, and are just as important as body shape guidelines when choosing clothes. You can find out how to measure your body proportions here. Comfortable and fashionable sneakers or dressy sneakers can replace heels, making them an ideal option for everyday wear. Alternatively, there are lots of other shoe styles you can try – from ballet flats to bedazzled flat sandals to ankle boots or knee-high riding boot styles. All can be both comfortable and stylish. Here are some great ideas for a stylish flat shoe wardrobe.

In our Your Type of Style program, Cat I got that dawg in me shirt we have an entire module dedicated to shopping as we want to arm you with all the best tools that work for you as an individual, with your individual needs, so that you can get over that analysis paralysis, or making decisions too quickly (whichever of these is more you), we give you a tried and tested model that will lead you through what you do well, plus where your blindspots are (that can trip you up without you being aware). One tried and true method that Jill uses (and others who have an overshopping issue have found particularly useful) is the “power pause” where you leave at least 2 hours between when you find an item, and when you make the purchase (in fact, sometimes Jill leaves it a few days). I’ve used this technique if I’m not 100% sure about an item and found it a really great tool, as I know if I’m still yearning and thinking about an item, hours or days or weeks later, then it’s a definite YES. But if I fairly quickly stop thinking about it then it’s a definite NO. The flipside of rushing into decisions too quickly and needing a way to stop yourself, is that you are too slow to decision making, and end up losing out in some way or other. You’ll end up with a wardrobe full of clothes you love and that love you back and get more joy from getting dressed each day. You’ll find getting dressed a more pleasurable experience. You’ll waste less money (so you have more money for other amazing experiences in your life). I truly believe that knowledge is power and the more wisdom you have with regards to your approach to style and what really works for you in a true and authentic way, you’ll know where both your genius and your blindspots are (and awareness is key to everything in life) and then it makes the whole process of style easier. If you’d love to dive deep into understanding more about how your personality influences all your style choices (don’t worry, you don’t need to know your type to do this, it’s something you get in the program), then head on over to discover more about Your Type of Style. We only open the doors to the program once a year (September start) so now is the time to make that decision if you’ve been thinking about it!

Nice shirts for the price
I am happy with the shirts, the are not so heavy and not so thin. the quality is good. I wear size M, but I was thinking to buy size L because most the reviews complaint about the shrinkage. anyhow, I decided to buy size M, when I got the shirts they were quite large for size M. after I washed and hot dried them, they shrink a bit, now they fit me very well. the only complaint is the color. i bought army green, but I was expecting a little bit more darker green. the army green I got is quite old, looks like Vietnam war green…
