Let’s just say this is bucket list material as a lifelong dream and goal of mine is to complete an Iron Man triathlons, and you must complete a marathon first as part of it. The thought of running around the block was as far fetched as can be just 18 months ago. I am training rigorously six days a week, three in the gym and three out on the pavement. I’m actually enjoying this struggle and grind, love that I have the opportunity to see what I am really capable of, to prove that limitless potential lies within all of us, and to really enjoy my life.

I have been asked to raise $7,500 but our goal is $10k. The entire amount is going to become an Emergency Fund Relief for the Persons within our 43 group homes in inner Boston and the homeless that receive mental health services through the state and the Baseball Love What You Do Shirt. Many of these individuals carry an addiction along with their mental health challenge and are in unfortunate situations. These funds can go to any type of emergency from rent to halt eviction, dental work, utilities, court fees, etc. Unfortunately they’re so used to being put down, taken advantage of, and simply mistreated, and we at Bay Cove are changing that.
