Kaia Gerber Continues Her Love for Retro-Inspired Blazers

The top models of the moment are all about putting a Gen Z stamp on more retro wardrobe pieces. Take Bella Hadid, for instance, who has been consistently rocking the ’90s-inspired shoulder bag. (She even carried a chic one by The Row just last week.) Another such trendsetter is Kaia Gerber; throughout Fashion Month, the runway star has been putting a more contemporary spin on blazers that would usually read ‘80s with their sharp shoulder pads and oversized fits. Today, she stepped out in Paris and did the look yet again. Call it a Working Girl-inspired ensemble—a fitting film reference, given Gerber was seen dashing from one show to the next, both on-foot and via electric scooter.

Gerber’s latest blazer? It was a checkered menswear-inspired style with a double lapel detail. It also had a boxy, oversized fit, which she updated with a slim trouser and discreet black top. On her feet, lace-up Converse—another It girl favorite, Bella included—ensured she could dash from one venue to the next with ease. A sleek leather cross-body bag, meanwhile, was on hand to hold all of her Fashion Week essentials.

As for past ensembles from this month, Gerber has also done a striped blazer, worn with a simple white tee and jeans. She clearly loves styling blazers with jeans: she’s also stepped out in a loose gray blazer with a cropped tee, denim, and strappy sandals. Looks like she’s fast developing her model signature.
