Did Emily Ratajkowski borrow a jacket from her husband for her dog walk earlier today? Quite possibly. The actress and model was spotted this morning out in lower Manhattan in that trickiest of items to pull off: a double-breasted XXL jacket. While this certainly isn’t the first time Ratajkowski has opted for jumbo outerwear, this incarnation by Magda Butrym was so large that it could have been worn as a dress. (Although she’s done practically that before, too.) Other parts of the outfit were more understated, as she paired the supersized jacket with a black mock neck turtleneck, light wash, straight-leg jeans, and the signature boot of the season, a black, razor-sharp square-toe sock boot by the Kiev-based label Bevza. Finally, for a little elevated glimmer, Ratajkowksi wore a pair of simple gold hoops.
But the key to bringing the oversized jacket of Working Girl proportions into 2019? Ratajkowski wore the look with an ’80s-style orange and black zebra striped belt by Maryam Nassir Zadeh tightly cinched around her waist to show off her silhouette. Thanks to the large belt and the highlighted waist, Ratajkowski revamped what could have been a baggy jacket in a very chic (and now supermodel-approved) way.
