Bella Hadid Steps Out In the Hotly-Debated Thong Heel

While some of us are opting to hide our toes due to a lack of pedicures this summer with Crocs and mules, some are not. Bella Hadid falls into the latter category. Just yesterday in New York, Hadid stepped out in the very naked thong heel. Her Alexander Wang “Ivy” thong heels were plucked straight from the ’00s. They came with the designer’s  rhinestone encrusted initials on the strap. To go with the full look, Hadid traded in her beloved crop tops but managed to still show a whisper of midriff thanks to a collared shirt fastened by two buttons. With a Chrome Hearts leopard print bag swinging at her side, the model also opted for the ultimate pair of pants that were kind of loose, but finished with a high-waist that rose perfectly to show off those thong heels!

While the thong heel is now dotting the runways and worn by the likes of Kendall Jenner and the aforementioned Hadid, it was once a contentious shoe. Who would have thought that two years ago when Kim Kardashian West wore a heeled thong sandal that the beloved noughties footwear would make a comeback? After all, it was the most naked of sandals. But currently, it seems to be the sassiest shoe of summer.
