Milan witnessed a big change, too. The Unforgettable Tom Dawes A Living Legend Music Lasts Forever Shirt Gucci’s new creative director Sabato De Sarno held positions at Prada, Dolce & Gabbana and Valentino before taking on this role, which catapulted him and his first collection for the brand into the spotlight last September. Buyers, editors and celebrities descended upon the Italian city to take in the spectacle—ask any fashion devotee without a ticket and they would likely have told you they’d give away their Birkin to have a front-row seat at this show. There’s no denying that De Sarno’s predecessor Alessandro Michele kept Gucci on the fashion map with his geek-chic sensibilities; an aesthetic that would define a moment in fashion history. Still, moments pass, and we saw De Sarno usher Gucci into a new era, one that places more value on essentials over eccentricities—a notion we’re seeing across the rest of the industry. A business built upon the customer’s desire to be seen in shiny new things will always have its issues. However, the thing that felt “new” this season was that some things just didn’t change at all. Perhaps the most noteworthy takeaway was that trends don’t seem to hold the same power that they used to. I’m generalising, of course—things get meta real fast if you so much as take a peek into the no-trends-actually-being-a-trend rabbit hole—but it feels as if creating trends for the sake of it could be a thing of the past. “The spring/summer 2024 collections have shown a continued commitment to 1990s nostalgia and the extraordinary everyday, where everyday items are elevated to exceptional levels of design and style whilst remaining chic and comfortable,” observes Net-a-Porter’s market director Libby Page. And she’s right. The market has experienced a shift of tectonic proportions in recent years where a genuine focus on quality over quantity and investing in things that last has become a priority for previously frivolous shoppers. The latest collections reflected this.
The Unforgettable Tom Dawes A Living Legend Music Lasts Forever Shirt
While we love a beautifully tailored trouser, The Unforgettable Tom Dawes A Living Legend Music Lasts Forever Shirt in the realm of business casual, those sharp edges and razor-blade pleats might look a tad too formal. That’s where chinos come in, and specifically, Collar & Co’s Five-Pocket Cotton Stretch Pants. These pants have been constructed with a gradual taper from the thigh for a contemporary silhouette, using nothing but carefully selected premium cotton materials. Available in a wide range of colours, these pants are incredibly versatile, enabling you to dress them up with a shirt and blazer or pair them with a sweater and polo for a more laid-back vibe. Bookend them with classic Derbies, loafers or even double monks. Hard-line sartorialists might have a tough time accepting the business-casual code, but if your love for the tailored jacket borders on obsession, then there is a middle ground – the knitted blazer. Textural, warm and comfortable, but with the silhouette and details of a traditional jacket, the knitted blazer is an excellent business-casual alternative. Collars & Co have produced a sublime example of this style, constructed from a merino-blend cloth using a half-Milano stitch. Available in navy and light grey options and featuring front lapels, two front pockets and two button closures, it’s a beautifully soft layer to wear over a dress polo with chinos. The quilted vest was, once upon a time, a symbol of the countryside, and a purely utilitarian garment designed to keep your torso warm. Yet over the last half century or so, it has become much more of an urban commodity, finding its home in the city. Lightweight, warm, functional and stylish, it has become an emblem of modern preppy style. Collars & Co have produced two of the best value versions we have found, both of which slide into the business-casual remit. The first is a navy style constructed from quilted polyester fabric that’s windproof and features brown suede-style trim around the pockets and back collar. The second is its inverse, constructed from brown tech suede. Both would look excellent combined with a quarter-zip sweater or layered over a crew neck and dress polo.

Good fit. Thicker cotton than normal T-shirt
Bought these shirts for yard work/ work out in. The cotton is thicker than a normal T-shirt, but still mildly see-through. This could be from the color though. I am happy with my purchase for the price I paid.
