It would probably make an excellent photo prop, I see that. This is what I’m going for. It’s my last intention to be insulting or insensitive to Mexican culture. I’m not doing “fiesta theme but wanted a way to incorporate both events in a fun spirited way.

The Mexican Independence Day is actually Sept 16th. Cinco de Mayo is a great excuse to drink and eat tacos. That being said, no matter what I think a Derby De Mayo Kentucky Horse Race shirt is a great idea!! I’m also definitely not Mexican but one thing I’ve heard discussed when it comes to honoring cultures vs being culturally insensitive is like… How close what you’re doing to what the actual cultural practices are. I think having a Thoroughbred piñata is the perfect way to inoffensively acknowledge another culture’s holiday (although like someone else said I’m not sure if it’s even an actual holiday in Mexico lol) without going all-out in a way

Slightly irrelevant, but when I first glanced at this Derby De Mayo Kentucky Horse Race shirt, I thought the table it is sitting on was hardwood floors which made it look like a HUGE pinata and I was just sitting here giggling while thinking of this really elegant wedding with a massive pinata just sitting in the middle of the room. More relevant comment- I dig the regular-sized pinata. I saw the same thing, I thought it was like a life-sized piñata OMG me too!
