Bella Hadid is continuing to celebrate her 23rd birthday in megawatt style. Last night, two days after her actual birthday, she arrived at Saks L’Avenue in New York City in a peak ’00s look: The model went sans bra in a midriff-baring crop top with diving décolletage, that was fastened with three bedazzled flossy threads. (Call her ensemble the refined version of the most maximalist partygoer of the post-Y2K years, Paris Hilton.) Hadid’s low-slung black pants might have also drawn attention to her navel, but to further bring the eye towards the shine of that subtly glinting top, the model wore gem-slathered sandals. It wasn’t all monotone, though: Hadid made sure to throw in some color, courtesy of a cheetah print shoulder bag with red leather straps.
Of course, Hadid’s outfit wouldn’t be complete without a vintage piece, especially given her recent penchant for adding yesteryear standouts to her wardrobe. Around her neck was an archival John Galliano-era Dior “CD” logo chain link choker, making it the second day in a row that she has worn a piece from the storied French fashion house; on Tuesday night, Hadid opted for a rare stained glass print turtleneck dress that also hailed from John Galliano’s era at the maison. Not a bad shopping obsession to have while channeling a throwback birthday look—but with her various archival finds, it’s one for the ages.
